Time is an unstoppable force. It keeps on ticking even when we don’t want it too.

When you die time doesn’t stop, you do.

It will keep on going till the end of time but do you know what’s interesting. This probably something you already know, but it is so profound.

Time only exists when you keep track of it, via the clock or sundial. The moment you start to keep track of it, that is when you see how much time you’ve wasted and how fast it flies.

I don’t mean that it just stops existing, I was being dramatic.

The earth will continue to spin, and the day and night cycle will commence. But isn’t it weird; when we just ignore it, ignore the clocks, watches, smartphones, and sundials. Suddenly a new set of freedom is given.

One where you don’t need to worry about when you need to wake up, or when work will start or when you’ll need to eat.

When you’re hungry, you eat. When you are tired, you sleep.

Yet, you will never experience this freedom, neither will I, when we live in the society of today. Where time hold such a importance that without, our world will ended.

What time do we have to pick up the kids? When is work? When did that happen to that company? What time will you be home? When do you want to visit the in-laws? When do you want to get married? When is the meeting? What time do I need to have this report by? When is the election? When will I die?

We use it so much, and we think we have so much control over it. But what happens when the clocks stop? What are you going to do when the shackles of time drop from your ankles?

Might as well milk what we can with the time we have left. Maybe we just need to put less emphasis on time and enjoy what life we have.

Tic Toc. Tic Toc.
